We are saddened to hear that Birnam Rural Fire Brigade has been broken into, with vital firefighting equipment stolen.

Unfortunately, incidents like this can sometimes lead to other brigades being targeted. We ask our community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity around Rural Fire Brigade stations or emergency service facilities to Police.

Our volunteers give their time to protect our communities—let’s help protect the resources they rely on.

Join us at the Fernvale Rural Fire Brigade Community Open Day and meet local Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics. The QAS Community Education Team will be on hand with their interactive Learn CPR vehicle, giving you the opportunity to learn vital life-saving CPR skills and gain confidence in responding to an emergency.

It was a fantastic morning meeting the children, sharing what we do, and seeing their excitement and curiosity. We were especially grateful for the thoughtful handmade gifts and recognition of all our local first responders.

A huge thank you to the children, families and educators at Bush Kidz Blacksoil for the beautiful cards and chocolates delivered to our station for Thank a First Responder Day.

The thoughtful messages and artwork from the children were greatly appreciated by our volunteers and brought plenty of smiles to the station. It means a lot to know our community takes the time to recognise and support local first responders.

On behalf of everyone at Fernvale Rural Fire Brigade, thank you for your kindness and generosity. We are proud to serve such a wonderful community.

🚒💛 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 💛🚑

Today we recognise and thank the incredible first responders who serve our communities every day.

From firefighters, paramedics, police officers, SES volunteers, emergency communications personnel and many others, these dedicated individuals are there when people need help most — often in challenging and unpredictable situations.

A simple “thank you” can go a long way in recognising the commitment, sacrifice and service they provide to keep our communities safe.

To all first responders, both paid and volunteer, thank you for everything you do. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
