Water Corporation is confirming that the Boil Water Do Not Play Notification issued on 1 May 2026 is still in place.

The bacteria E. coli has been detected in a water sample taken on 27th of May 2026 from Karnparmi water supply system.

As a result all tap water must be BOILED before use. DO NOT DRINK the tap water unless it is BOILED.

Tap water can be used after boiling for at least 1 minute. Cooled boiled water can be used for drinking, brushing teeth, food preparation, bathing, showering and washing dishes.

There are health risks associated with water entering the nose. DO NOT allow water to go up your nose when playing, showering, or bathing. DO NOT allow children to play with hoses or sprinklers.

Your Regional Service Provider, Kimberley Regional Service Provider (KRSP), will initiate remedial actions.

Please find attached the notification poster which must be displayed on community noticeboards or where it can be publicly viewed.

Please see attached the re-issued Water Quality Alert/Boil Water/No Play notice for the water supply at Kadjina.

The Kadjina drinking water supply has a cloudy appearance and elevated iron. Please use bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth and food preparation.

Bottled water is available free of charge at the Community School.

Community members need to approach the School Principal, who will provide instructions for bottled water collection.

Alternatively, tap water can be used after boiling for at least 1 minute. Cooled boiled water can be used for drinking, brushing teeth, food preparation, bathing, showering and washing dishes.

Also, be careful when playing with water or in the bath. Anyone playing in or with water needs to avoid getting water up their nose.

If you have further questions, please contact Water Corporation on 0439 185 283.
