Nunawading Toy Library Inc. We are a voluntary not-for-profit organisation made up of parents and carers, run by and for the fami We have over 2,000 toys in the library.

The Nunawading Toy Library is a place where parents or carers can go to borrow a large variety of educational toys, puzzles and games on a regular basis. Toy libraries aim to support families and encourage them to spend time playing with their children. Quality toys are expensive and children quickly become bored with a toy once its play value has been exhausted. By providing new play materials ev

ery week or two, parents can save money and significantly contribute towards the development and education of their children. We have educational toys, puzzles and games, toys that encourage creativity, physical activity and fun! Children learn through play, and our toy library caters for children from 6 months to 10 years old. Toy Categories:

Children play with whatever we provide them. If we allow ourselves to be open-minded, the same toy can have many applications!

That's the charm of the toy library. You can borrow and reintroduce toys at different ages and stages and see how your child interacts with their environment! Let their play guide you.

On the surface, shape sorters seem simple - they introduce shapes! But really, they are build the foundation for problem solving skills. It's trial and error until our children can identify shapes. This is what builds resilience and patience.

One simple change can make old toys feel new again. 💡

Instead of having every toy available all the time, try rotating them.

Putting some toys away for a few weeks and bringing them back later can:
✔️ Keep play fresh
✔️ Encourage creativity
✔️ Help children focus
✔️ Reduce overwhelm
✔️ Support changing interests

Throwback to last Monday for our August stay and play! We welcome the community, members and non-members, to join us every 3rd Monday of the month.
