🚒 Preparing for the Upcoming Bushfire Season 🔥
For the second consecutive year, Metropolitan VFRS has been allocated one of the DFES High Fire Season Support Vehicles.
Our members are pleased to once again welcome this additional appliance to our station as we prepare for the upcoming bushfire season.
These appliances play an important role in supporting emergency response capabilities across Western Australia. Throughout the year, they are strategically relocated across the state to coincide with each region's period of heightened bushfire risk, ensuring additional resources are positioned where they can provide the greatest operational benefit.
The addition of this appliance further strengthens Metropolitan VFRS's capacity to support incidents throughout the metropolitan area and beyond when required.
With this additional resource, our brigade now has the capability to respond with a combined 10,000 litres of water and 12 breathing apparatus sets, providing greater flexibility and resources to assist firefighting operations.
