A smoke alarm that doesn't work is just a plastic disc on the ceiling.

Test yours every month. If it doesn't beep, replace the battery. If it's older than 10 years, replace the alarm.

Less than 24 hours to go until our doors are open!

We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow for our Fire Station Open Day. There will be plenty of equipment on display along with our station and fire appliances 🚒🔥

Whilst exploring the fire station, grab a sausage sizzle which is being run by our friends next door Forster/Tuncurry Scouts.

There will be loads of information on Home Fire Safety and plenty of goodies for the kids.

Be sure to invite your friends and family along. We are keen to meet you all!

We usually come to your house 🚒, this time we’d love to welcome you to ours 🏡
Fire and Rescue NSW 295 Forster will be opening the doors to the station for our Open Day on Saturday 9th May ,giving our community a chance to meet local firefighters, check out the fire truck, and learn fire safety tips you can implement in your home.
It’s a great opportunity to bring the family along, book a home fire safety visit and see first hand how we work to protect our community every day.

Motorhome destroyed by Fire — Forster CBD

Just after 3am this morning, Fire & Rescue Forster were called to an "Unknown fire" in Wallis St, Forster.
On arrival, the fire was discovered to be a Motorhome well alight at the back of a public car park.
Due to its proximity to the blaze, a nearby Motel was evacuated and guests had to wait approximately 1 hour before the fire was brought under control, and they were allowed to return to their rooms.
The owner of the vehicle, who was asleep inside at the time, escaped without any injuries
