If you're looking for some inspiration as you start the second week of this 5th Melbourne lockdown, you might like to tune into this new podcast by the Australia reMADE team?
I've listened to the first couple of episodes - while getting my daily exercise - and they're FULL of inspiration and hope.
Let's keep working together to pursue the best version of "us"
:-) (y)

โ€ฆa new conversation that asks, โ€˜what is the best version of us, and how do we actually build it?โ€™ How can we be more collaborative, transformative and ambitious? How can we help change systems, not just treat symptoms?

Do you know a worthy volunteer, serving an organisation of impact? If so, why not nominate them for a Volunteer of the Year Award?

"Established by Impact Volunteering in partnership with Frankston City Council in 2017, the Volunteer of the Year Awards aim to celebrate and recognise the valuable contributions that volunteers make to the local community, with an organisation of impact taking home a $1,000 prize.

When you nominate a worthy candidate, youโ€™ll be highlighting the great work they do as a volunteer as well as creating awareness for the work of their volunteer organisation in the community."

Nominations close in July. You can find out more here:

Today is 'extraction day'. Rather than a painful dental procedure or some kind of military maneuver, today is the day that ballot boxes are opened.
The AEC election officials open the ballot boxes; separate the declaration slip from the envelopes; open the envelopes and remove ballot papers; and then finally separate the formal and informal ballots.
Informal ballots are any that are incomplete or invalid for whatever reason. Candidates are able to have scrutineers onsite for the extraction to ensure that every possible ballot is counted.
