Attendance is a really important part of Secondary School.

At McClelland, we want to ensure you know what each percentage means. We want all of our students here, engaging in their learning and experiencing all of the opportunities McClelland has to offer.

Jump on to COMPASS and check where your attendance %’s are at today!

VCAA stipulate that senior students must demonstrate sufficient attendance to fulfill the time and work requirements of the unit.

It is important that we can authenticate our students work and therefore our attendance policy states a minimum 90% VCE Compliance attendance to be eligible for a Satisfactory ‘S’ result.

If you are away, please make sure you provide the required documentation i.e a medical certificate, to ensure your absence is marked VCE compliant.

We’re so proud to have supported the Peta Murphy Breast Imaging Suite at Frankston Hospital through our annual Colour Run.

Across the past three years, we’ve raised an incredible $13,690 total, with over $5,000 raised this year alone! 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved, donated, ran, walked, laughed and got covered in colour. We were so happy to present this cheque to members of the Peta Murphy Breast Imagine Suite today.

It is with deep sadness that McClelland College informs our community that Ron Dennison passed away on Tuesday 4th August after a brief illness.

Ron taught and led the Senior School at Karingal for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2004. He organised the COZ (Central Australian) tours, Deb Balls, AV Jennings Days, the Red Faces competition between Years 11 and 12 , weekly assemblies, and countless other activities.

He was an inspiration to thousands of students, not just those he taught in class, but all he came in contact with. Kids loved him because he was cheeky and full of fun, but he was also caring and kind, and they loved that even more.

He led a dedicated team of staff and many of his colleagues became lifelong friends. Ron had boundless energy and invested himself in everything he did - he gave it all he had - and it was a joy to work with him. Ron said just over a week ago - “I didn’t just teach Accounting, I taught kids”.
He certainly did - and his memory will be treasured by many in the Karingal community.

Thank you Ron.

Snow Camp round 3! ❄️☃️

It appears that a few of our campers are spending a fair bit of time checking if the snow is ok after a stumble! Lucky they are go getters, and are straight back up and hitting the slopes again.

How amazing that we are able to offer not 1 but 3 snow camps!
We hope all the students have enjoyed themselves, from the looks of it they really have!
