SKETCHING ESSENTIALS WITH KATE SHEPHERSON.

Starting Monday 20 July, 12 Midday to 2.30pm. The workshops continue for 8 weeks.
Kate is a Geelong based artist, and has been teaching a sketching class at the Queenscliffe Neighbourhood Hose for the past 2 years. We invite you to join Kate at The Papermill Gallery for a new drawing class focusing on drawing fundamentals.
The class with cover proportion and measuring, composition, perspective, values and shading, and more. Materials are provided. however if you wish to bring your own drawing materials you are most welcome to do so.

We have just hung in the Gallery a lovely oil painting by renowned artist Max Middleton. The painting features the You Yangs in the background. For sale $4000 (Negotiable), Provenance is available of original sale price.

We have just hung in the Gallery some new paintings by Dr Phillip.B.Roos ( .philliproos : ) Phillip is an artist, author, architect and environmental philosopher, whose creative practice is inspired by natures rhythms, forms and hidden patterns. The paintings are from the series "Soaring Birds of Prey" and are for sale together with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The use of these beautiful colours are often overlooked in our artistic endeavours.
Whether working in acrylic or watercolour, this workshop will expand your vision of what colours to use for landscape, still life etc. Whether a beginner or advanced practitioner, your work will be enriched with the knowledge shared in this day workshop.
Requirements:
A4 size W/C paper 300gm. A pad or minimum of 5 sheets
Any watercolours/acrylics you have
Brushes you have
Notebook or journal
Your sense of adventure.
