We’re heading to the heart of Coolamon for our latest Canola Way Connections podcast episode.

In this episode, we sit down with Sarah Boyle, Manager of Coolamon Cheese Co, to chat about what it takes to build an award-winning artisan food business in a regional town. From sourcing local milk to welcoming visitors from far and wide, this conversation is all about community, creativity, and connection through food.

Set inside a beautifully restored historical building, Coolamon Cheese Co is a shining example of how local passion can breathe new life into a town and turn it into a destination.

Tune in to hear the story of Coolamon Cheese Co., learn more about the cheesemaking process, and discover why the Riverina is such a special place for artisan producers.

🎧 Available now on the Canola Way Podcast which you can listen to here: https://canolawayconnections.podbean.com/e/local-flavour-coolamon-cheese-co-along-the-canola-way/

Special update for those who listen to the episode - Coolamon Cheese Co.'s new feta - absolutely delightful flavour. We loved it. It was versatile too. We tried it on toast in our own version of smashed avo, used it in a salad and enjoyed it in a charcuterie board. It was amazing. Be sure to try it while stocks last.

✨ After Hours at Lush Creative Galleries ✨

Recently, we had the absolute joy of stepping into Lush Creative Galleries after hours for a surprise creative experience that was equal parts art, laughter and connection.

What unfolded was a relaxed, welcoming evening that reminded us just how powerful creativity can be when it’s shared, especially in our regional communities. From drawing to painting and plenty of laughs along the way, it was one of those nights that leaves you feeling inspired long after you leave.

We’ve shared the full experience over on the Canola Way Connections blog. If you’re curious about what happens when a gallery opens its doors after hours, or you’re looking for a creative experience that’s a little bit special, this one’s for you.

For travellers in the know, the humble Information Centre is a road trip essential — part pit stop, part treasure trove of local wisdom.

Along the Canola Way, we discovered everything from state-of-the-art centres packed with regional produce to charming, slightly haphazard setups that make exploring all the more interesting. From Narrandera’s glowing example to Temora’s welcoming stop (with pristine loos, of course), each town has its own story to tell.

Sometimes, even the “forgotten” parts of the Way have the most to offer.
