KENNEDY RANGE LOOP TRACK REMAINS CLOSED

The Kennedy Range Loop Track remains closed, with a current reopening estimated as the end of June 2026.

Estimated Reopening: End of June 2026

Due to damage sustained from Cyclone Narelle the western side of Kennedy Range National Park is still CLOSED. There is no access to the western side from the south or north entrance. We are sorry for those who have had to change their plans.

The eastern side of Kennedy Range National Park is open with visitors being able to enjoy the walking trails and the Temple Gorge campsite.

📢 EXTRAORDINARY ELECTION – POSTAL VOTE 📢

The Shire of Upper Gascoyne extraordinary election will be held on Thursday, 25 June 2026 to fill two Councillor vacancies.

Candidates are:
• David Hammarquist
• Martin Baston
• Lance Root
• Teresa Tubby

📬 Election packages will be mailed to all eligible electors on the local government electoral roll.

✅ Completed postal votes must reach the Returning Officer by 6:00pm on Thursday, 25 June 2026.

📍 Postal votes may be hand delivered, or replacement packages collected from:

4 Scott Street, Gascoyne Junction

Music in the Park 2026 is ready to begin with live music performed by Andrew Winton and Proud Mary

Music in the Park is held on the 4th Saturday of the month in Gascoyne Junction at the Town Amphitheatre at the Two Rivers Memorial Park

This free concert series is possible thanks to the RACIP Arts Activities in Regional Communities grant.

Getting the telescope ready for a night of stargazing at the Gascoyne Junction Pub & Tourist Park. Come and see the magic of the night skies.

The Under Gascoyne Skies Festival starts now. There will be more stars on the pub lawn with line dancing 101 at 7.30pm

Tomorrow the Music in the Park begins at 5.30pm at the Town Amphitheatre with Andrew Winton and Proud Mary
