Congratulations Toowoomba City on your well deserved 2026 Ashes victory, breaking a run of 5 consecutive years for the Gatton Club. Superb competition and friendship shared between the two clubs.

On Monday 5th May, 14 teams played at Gatton on pub day on good greens and enjoying excellent weather. The Col Daniel Green is playing very well after being completely refurbished. A nice morning tea and lunch was provided by the Gatton ladies.

1st Round winners were a team from Toogoolawah.
2nd Round winners North Ipswich led by Pam Clarke.
Runners up were the Dagwoods from Lowood.
Winners on the day were Steve Sellers team.

Monday triples held 20 April at Gatton saw Col Daniel arranging a full rink of 16 teams to play on very good greens in superb Autumn 🍂 weather. Everyone was well fed and enjoyed a great day of competitive bowls.

Ist round winners Les Kersanke’s team from Ipswich club.
2nd round winners Arthur Brown’s team.
Runners up were Don Neumann’s team from Gatton.
Overall Winners were Toowoomba Suns.

Jackpot did not go off and progresses to $120 next game on 18 May.

Monday triples was held at Gatton 16 March and had 16 teams playing in great Autumn weather on superb greens. Well done to Warren and his helpers on the playing surface.

Pub Day was held at Gatton on Tuesday 10 March and saw 5 rinks of players enjoying a great day on the green in superb Autumn weather.

And oversll winners for the day were Steve Sellars team

Our positive thoughts go out to 2 of our longstanding members who have health issues at the moment.
President Bill Beckman and Bob Gelhaar. May they get well quickly.

Gatton Monday triples were played on 16 February anf saw 12 teams playing in good conditions on a true green. Jackpot did not go off, so will be $60 next time. Next game set down for 16 March. Many thanks to our valued sponsors for the day Goodyear Auto Care Gatton.

Monday January 19 saw the first game of triples for 2026. A total of 9 rinks of players competed in fine but windy conditions. Many thanks to our sponsors for the day Thomson Refrigeration.

First round winners were Ted Jenkins’ team.
Second round winners were Laidley team led by Marg Anderson.
Runners up were the Gatton team of Don Neumann.
Overall Winners were The Toowoomba Suns.

The jackpot of $60 was won. $30 jackpot next month.
