💙 World Drowning Prevention Day – 25th July
At our pool, we’re proud to be part of a community that values water safety.
Today is World Drowning Prevention Day, an opportunity to raise awareness that drowning is preventable and to encourage everyone to make safe choices whenever they’re around water.
Whether you’re visiting the pool, spending time at the beach, or enjoying our local rivers and dams, remember:
🏊 Always actively supervise children around water.
👀 Stay within arm’s reach of young children.
🦺 Wear a lifejacket when boating, fishing or participating in water sports.
📱 Put distractions away while supervising.
🏖️ Choose patrolled swimming areas whenever possible.
❤️ Learn CPR—it could help save a life.
Swimming is a skill for life. By building confidence in the water, respecting aquatic environments, and looking out for one another, we can all help make our community safer.
Thank you to all of the lifeguards, swim teachers and all those who work every day to keep our community safe in and around the water.
Together, let’s make every visit to the water a safe one.
