Been wondering where I've been? Every time I finish writing a book, and I write 'The End' I have a little break (and a b**r). But when I submit the manuscript to the publisher there's always a nagging little voice inside me that says 'they're not going to like this one'. Big news, today, my publishers, Pan Macmillan, have accepted my latest manuscript. I never, ever take this for granted. It's always a rollercoaster but now is the time I really get to relax. I'll be back online soon with more pictures and news, but for now, I'm just exhaling a big sigh of relief. And, as always, I'll never forget the people who allow me to keep writing and live this life I always dreamed of - you, and everyone who's part of this journey, and all those who help bring a book to life. Thank you.

On the 16 October 1985, the Gawler Public Library opened for the first time.

Forty-One years later, just as it did on day one, the library on Murray Street continues to be a vibrant, inclusive spaces at the heart of our community, offering access to digital tools and fostering lifelong learning – all for free.

To mark, our Libraries birthday, earlier this morning Mayor Nathan Shanks - Town of Gawler and I headed down to celebrate the occasion with staff.
