WORLD’S BEST CELERY, world’s LEMONIEST lemon, world’s mildest LEMON, and that’s just the beginning! We have OUTSTANDING food for the Adelaide Farmers Market tomorrow 14 June, as a result of the mild season.
And our AQUIFER RECHARGE SYSTEM is pumping excellent water from the Gawler River and storing it deep underground, for irrigation in the coming summer.

We’ll have the first of our BLOOD ORANGES, packed with antioxidants, (mainly found in the red anthocyanin pigments), Clementines, Red Centre limes, Tahitian limes, most of your favourite vegetables and herbs.
Our current season’s PISTACHIOS (unsalted and unroasted) will be for sale as kernels and in-shell nuts.

The newly released 'PORTUGAL' red wine made from the classical Touriga Nacional grape grown in the Douro Valley. Unlike our earlier release, this is a big Barossa-style beauty.
Not only Organic, our wine is ULTRA LOW in preservatives (not exceeding 40ppm sulphur)

BROCCOLI and KALE are amongst the top foods on the Aggregate Nutrient Density Index, which measures vitamin, mineral, and phytonutrient content in relation to caloric content, provides all your daily need for vitamins C and K, as well as providing Potassium for cardiovascular fitness and fibre for gut health.

Roasted Broccoli with Lemon Tahini Sauce

• about 750gm of fresh broccoli
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• salt and pepper, to taste
• 1/4 cup tahini
• 1 large (or two small) lemon, juiced
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 2-3 tablespoons water
• salt and pepper & perhaps some sesame seeds and/or crushed red pepper to garnish
Preheat oven to 250 degrees while you wash the broccoli in cold water and remove any leaves and trim off any dry ends. Cut into large florets and place on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
1. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove tray from oven and turn broccoli florets over. Return to the oven and bake 8-10 minutes more, or until broccoli is browned and fork tender.
2. While broccoli is roasting, mix tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Add water until mixture is thin enough to drizzle.
3. When broccoli is roasted, drizzle with the tahini sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and/or crushed red pepper, if desired.

WEATHER ROBS FOOD FOREST OF MAJOR HARVESTS. The continued wet weather of this week caused major loss of our fig crop, which began fermenting on the trees and had to be picked and destroyed to minimise both disease and the risk of fruit fly infestation. (Production will bounce back when dry conditions return). Simultaneously, wet conditions have, so far, made PISTACHIO HARVEST impossible, frustrating the multinational team of pickers we have assembled and causing the CANCELLATION OF OUR STALL AT THE ADELAIDE FARMERS MARKET ON SUNDAY 22 March. APOLOGIES to our supporters.
GRAPE HARVEST and vintage has continued and promises some high quality wines, and we will commence picking the big crop of pistachios on 19 March.
We will potentially have record crops of jujubes and pomegranates if the weather normalises and picking of Leng jujubes has commenced.
We will endeavour to fill large orders made during the next 2 weeks. Our email [email protected].
