As part of budget debt reduction commitments Council is reviewing ALL Council owned land. This is a process that looks to see what it is currently being used for and how it may be utilized. Through this process some properties have been sold but others have been deemed NOT surplus to Council need.
As part of this process community input is sought. Council officers look at all evidence and prepare a report with a recommendation. This then ultimately comes to Councillors at a Council meeting to decide.

WE NEED SOME EXTRA HANDS WITH FOOD RESCUE 💚

Every week, Feed Me rescues huge amounts of good food that would otherwise go to waste and gets it back out to people in our community.

But right now, we really need some more people to help us with our food rescue runs.

And you don't need to commit to heaps.

Could you do just ONE rescue run a week?

Maybe you have a couple of spare hours one morning or afternoon. Maybe you're retired, work flexible hours, or simply want to do something practical that directly helps your community.

Even if one rescue a week is all you can do - that helps us enormously.

The more people we have sharing the load, the more food we can rescue, the more people we can support, and the more sustainable we can make what we do.

You don't have to already be a Feed Me volunteer either. If you've been thinking about getting involved, this could be the perfect way to start.
