We've been nominated for the Healthy Choices Award at the 2026 Aquatics & Recreation Victoria Industry Awards. 🍎

Through a partnership with Deakin University’s Promoting CHANGE project, healthier food and drink options have been embedded across council operated sport and recreation facilities by increasing healthier choices, reducing less healthy options and using promotion strategies to make nutritious options easier to choose.

This work has also included integrating Healthy Choices classifications into point of sale systems and reporting tools, helping create long term, sustainable change across facilities used by more than 2.5 million visitors each year.

The City of Greater Geelong and Swim Sport & Leisure team are proud to see this important work recognised. 💙
