Cooks / Event Staff - Casual - Geelong region & Melbourne

Do you love events and good food?
Paella Pan are looking for fun and enthusiastic people to join the Paella Pan crew for the upcoming event season!
They cater weddings, private parties and events, cooking paella fresh on-site in large pans in front of guests. Their events are social and hands-on.

THE ROLE
As part of the Event Crew, you’ll be involved:
• Setting up the cooking and serving area
• Cooking paella onsite
• Serving and interacting with guests
• Cleaning and packing down equipment

EXPERIENCE
Previous hospitality or cooking experience is helpful, but not essential. You don’t need to be a qualified chef or cook. They provide training in their cooking process, equipment and how they run events.

More important to them is finding people who:
• Are friendly and confident with customers
• Are comfortable working with food and have an interest in it
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Are regularly available on weekends
• Are interested in ongoing work with us

As their events are held at different venues across Geelong, Melbourne, the Bellarine and surrounding areas, having your own transport and drivers license is essential.

HOURS & AVAILABILITY
Most of their events take place on weekends, so regular weekend availability is important. Guaranteed hours every weekend are available for the right applicants, as well as more casual shifts for those looking for additional work around study, another job or other commitments.

Job description:
The Production Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product and process quality throughout vehicle manufacturing activities. This role leads inspection processes, manages non-conformances, supports customer quality requirements and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

The position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with quality standards, supporting production timelines, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing outcomes. The key challenges faced by the incumbent are the diversity of quality issues, across all engineering disciplines, and the urgency to address issues in a measured, accurate but timely manner. The role is supported by teams of Quality, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing and Design Engineers within a highly collaborative and purposeful business environment.

Primary Duties:
• Develop, implement, and manage Non-Conformance Report (NCR) processes internally and with customers
• Establish, maintain, and update inspection criteria, work instructions (PIWI), and final inspection reporting (FIR)
• Manage inspection procedures and critical inspection items
• Oversee non-conforming product and process management, including validation and corrective actions
• Liaise with customers on quality, warranty issues, audits, and inspection schedules
• Coordinate and manage quality activities throughout vehicle build processes
• Review quality data and prepare Certificates of Conformity for final sign-off
• Generate and maintain Process Control Plans (P*P) and PFMEA documentation
• Perform layered audits and support compliance with ISO and internal QMS requirements
• Ensure calibration and accuracy of inspection equipment
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
• Assist in development and continuous improvement of quality management systems
• Support production launches and onsite engagement where required
• Facilitate customer visits and inspections
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Planning, and Suppliers to resolve quality issues
• Maintain accurate quality records
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure adherence to PPE and safety procedures
• Provide support to the Production Quality Manager as required

Qualifications:
• Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline

Experience:
• Experience in automotive or heavy vehicle manufacturing environments
• Experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing
• Exposure to defence industry environments (desirable)
• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical assembly operations
• Experience with modern quality assurance systems
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Experience supporting safety culture
• Experience coaching or training team members

Flora Victoria is an environmental contracting business that specialises in work on the grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plains. Their work includes the management of high-quality grassland remnants and other natural areas and revegetation sites and garden beds.

They are currently seeking people with a keen interest in the environment to join their bush crew.

Ideally you will have:
• Current driver’s license
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of indigenous plant/weed ID and a strong desire to upskill on your ID.
• A strong work ethic – much of our work is physically demanding and sometimes in very rugged terrain.
• Experience with working with various plant machinery: i.e. brush cutter, chainsaw, Spray rig.
• A commitment to quality – the work in grasslands needs to be meticulous and thorough, their reputation is built on this.
• An openness to new ideas and approaches.
• A great team playing attitude and passion for rehabilitation of EVCs across the Volcanic Plains.
• White Card holder (mandatory).
• ACUP (Agricultural Chemical User Permit), First Aid, Chainsaw ticket etc. would be an advantage.

There may be further opportunities for those who display leadership potential. Please note that Flora Victoria commence on site with minimal option to start from the depot.
