The next sessions of the Cardinia Shire bushfire prepare are being planned for October. These sessions are a great introduction to managing fire risk on your property. See below for details and have a look at the UTube link

Good afternoon all,

Just a quick email to let you know we will be running two Bushfire Prepare workshops over October and November. Please see flyer/poster attached. Our Comms team has also put together a promo video which is worth a look - https://youtu.be/NLZsLBu0wcA.

At this stage the location for the October workshop is not yet confirmed but will be either in Upper Beaconsfield or Gembrook. November workshop is locked in for Bunyip.

Could you please pass on these details to your brigade Community Engagement people across Cardinia Group? If there is strong demand for a workshop for CFA members, we can look at running a separate workshop as I will try to maximise community attendance at these workshops.

Registration can be completed through the website. Bushfire Prepare - Bushfire Prepare Online.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Victorian Fire Adapted Communities·

The Victorian Fire Adapted Communities Learning Network is striving to become part of an international national network of people working to build sustainable wildfire resilience capacity in fire-prone communities. It the learning network was first started in the United States and was the result of a partnership among The Nature Conservancy, the Watershed Research and Training Center and the USDA Forest Service, as well as the many wildfire resilience practitioners who make up our membership.

Our Mission

FAC Net’s mission is to connect and support people and communities who are striving to live more safely with wildfire.
