Busy day Today,

I had a great morning George Town Australia Day Citizenship ceremony. It was great to see 3 new citizens in our community, and the acknowledgment of the contribution of others, including citizen of the year John Osborne OAM
Special mention to the Navel Cadets for their flag raising(s), and to Rotary for toiling away with Breakfast.

Then it was off to Weymouth to the huge turnout for the sandcastle competition!

Great to attend the George Town Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards on Thursday night.

Voting closes at 2pm on Tuesday 25th October so you have just over a week to post your ballot. Voting is compulsory.

The TEC reports that less than 50% of George Town ballots have been returned so far - so if yours is still lurking on the kitchen bench don’t forget to fill it in and post it back to make your vote count.

Please consider giving me your number 1 vote!

Due to logistical issues caused by flooding in the north of Tasmania, postal vote return figures are unavailable until Monday 17 October.

We have so much potential in the George Town municipality and are headed in the right direction but I am concerned when I hear about decisions made behind closed doors.

Out early this morning with my sign trailer and got thinking about Council plans for this land near the airport that I have only heard about in the past few days.

If I am elected I will advocate for increased transparency and accountability in decision making for our community.

Thank you to George Town Chamber of Commerce for hosting a very positive candidate forum last night . It was great to listen to the community and other candidates and there were some very thoughtful questions.

Welcome to my page, thank you for following!
Please get in touch if you have any questions or feedback.

So, why have I decided to run for election to George Town Council?

I have grown up, and live in the George Town area. With my wife, we raise our family here on the family farm.

As a business owner and rural ratepayer, I understand the importance of using the communities money in ways that benefit all residents & ratepayers. Listening to people, avoiding wasteful spending, and delivering sustainable services will be my priority.

I see great potential in our region, and I hope to see our council improve the way it budgets and completes projects.

Your views and opinions matter.
Please consider giving me your number 1 vote!
