West Gidgegannup Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade West Gidgegannup Volunteer Bushfire Brigade. Gidgegannup has 2 Volunteer Bushfire brigades (East and West), - part of the City of Swan fire fighting services.

The brigades work in tandem for all fires in the Gidge area. In total, we have ~100 active fire fighters, utilising 8 fire appliances. However, our area of responsibility includes approximately 250 square kilometres of area. We also respond either singly or together to many fires outside the Gidge area.
