WINDMILL WALK TREE REMOVAL NOTICE 🌳

Council advises that a large gum tree located on the southern end of Windmill Walk (opposite Gilgandra Motors) will be removed on Tuesday, 9 June − commencing at approximately 8.00am.

While the tree appears healthy externally, it has suffered severe splitting through the trunk and has been assessed as a high-risk tree requiring priority removal.

To allow the works to be completed safely, a section of Windmill Walk will be temporarily closed to pedestrian access for approximately 50 metres either side of the work area. The closure is expected to be in place for up to two hours, and will be removed as soon as works are complete.

Council thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during these works.

INTERFLOW SEWER WORKS IN PROGRESS 💧💨

Council's contractor, Interflow Pty Ltd is carrying out sewer maintenance, repairs and smoke testing across parts of the Gilgandra Region.

Smoke testing will be carried out between 11 and 30 June 2026, using a safe, vapour-like smoke to help identify faults and illegal stormwater connections, reducing the risk of sewer overflows and environmental impacts.

Some properties may require short-term backyard access during the works. If access is needed, residents will be notified in advance. No entry to homes is required.

Works are expected to continue through to late August.

For enquiries, contact Council on 6817 8800.
