🛻You can apply to get a 20% rebate on your personal vehicle registration from FY 2025-2026.

🛻You can claim this rebate for up to 2 light vehicles that are registered in your name.

🛻Personal vehicles under 4.5 tonnes like cars, wagons, motorcycles, utes and light vans are all eligible for this rebate.

🛻If your work vehicle is in your name, it’s eligible for a rebate, but vehicles registered to organisations aren’t eligible.

Whilst Neighbourhood Houses Victoria were recently denied the request for extra funding from the State Government, we now find ourselves supporting their initiative by helping our community navigate the process of claiming the Rego Rebate.

Whilst we have been encouraged to not assist, given the extra pressure on our staff and volunteers, as well as gaining no financial support, the team at Girgarre Community Cottage are putting our community above all else.

The only request we have to provide the assistance, is that instead of walking in randomly throughout our opening hours, we would like you to attend The Cottage at the following time:

TUESDAY 16TH JUNE from 12PM-3PM

Tonight we had Pasta & Mexican night for Thursday dinner! Thank you to the C Res, Under 15s & 13s for putting on an amazing spread of meals! 💙

There were plenty of leftovers🤩 so we’ve donated them to our friends at Girgarre Community Cottage to give back to those in need 🥰🤝

What a fantastic turn up we had for our Girgarre Law Incorporated event yesterday.

Multiple locals, representing an array of community committees were present, to listen to lawyer Jaime Rodrick from Morrison & Sawer Lawyers.

The home made scones and soup prepared by one of our dedicated Cottage volunteers was also very much appreciated by all in attendance.

The Girgarre Cottage is super proud to be able to support our amazing community!

Did you know that we only have one paid employee?
The lions share of the work is done by the pure kindness and generosity of our wonderful volunteers.

So whether you attend our regular programs, have community meals delivered, use our community car, come along to an event or educational sessions, it is due to their tireless efforts that these services are available.

So during last weeks Neighbourhood House Week and this weeks National Volunteer Week, we want to send A BIG SHOUT OUT to our team of over thirty regular volunteers who support The Girgarre Community Cottage.
