At the Cottage you are able to access computers and internet services free of charge (some charges for printing, photocopying and fax services). A wide range of books available with ordering facilities available if we don't have it on the shelves. Weekly Seniors group with a wide variety of activities. School holiday progra

m for children each holidays (program varies, call the Cottage for more details). Home of the Green Thumbs Nursery. Propagation workshops and plant sales on Monday and Wednesdays 9am-12pm. Girgarre Community Car is managed by the Community Cottage. Taking Bookings for drives for people in Girgarre and the surrounding district. Primary use of this service transports people to connect them to medical appointments and services outside of the town. Courses are available at the Cottage to suit people's needs. Including RSA, first aid, boat licences, barista, food handlers and others as community demand requires. The Cottage is home to the Girgarre foodshare which provides food to people in need.

The Girgarre Community Cottage has organised a Computer Course that encompasses the variety of requests we have had from our community members.

The cost is only $40 per person, whether you do one of the three subjects or all of them.

General Computer IT - October 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th

Canva - November 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th

Family Sharing Security - December 2nd, 9th & 16th

THANK YOU, TO THE TEAM AT KNIGHTS BUILDING SUPPLIES

It is with great sadness that we see Knights Building Supplies in Stanhope close its doors.

On behalf of the Stanhope Community , we would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff that for the many years have been part of our community and for the wonderful service they have provided to local residents, businesses, farmers and community groups.

Having a local building supplies business has been a real asset to Stanhope and the surrounding district. Stuart and his team have always been there to help, provide advice and go the extra mile for their customers.

We are very sad to see the store close, but truly appreciate everything you have done for our community over the years.

You will certainly be missed in Stanhope!

Girgarre Community Cottage was fortunate to be awarded a Campaspe Shire Council Community Equipment Grant (Round 2).

With the financial contribution we were able to purchase some new items to assist our wonderful volunteers in the kitchen.

These will be used to prepare meals for our Community Meals Program, Seniors Group and other events we hold throughout the year.

Support like this is what helps neighbourhood houses thrive! Thank you 😁
