Tomorrow will be another hot and dry day, particularly in North Central and Central parts of the state, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees broadly, and up to 29 degrees on the south western coasts.
Moderate north to north westerly winds will develop during the morning before a light south westerly wind change in the afternoon. However, gusty, isolated and dry thunderstorms are possible, with the risk of dry lightning higher in the north.
A Total Fire Ban means no fire can be lit in the open air or allowed to remain alight from 12.01am to 11.59pm on the day of the Total Fire Ban.

Firefighters and police have had to respond to multiple campfires this evening.

Campfires are not allowed when a Total Fire Ban is in place.

A statewide Total Fire Ban remains in place across the state until 11.59pm (Sat 24 Jan 2026).

Total Fire Bans remain in place for the Northern Country, North Central, North East, and East Gippsland fire districts from midnight tonight (Sun 25 Jan 2026) until 11.59pm.

Illegal campfires put everyone at risk and waste the time of already stretched emergency services who have to respond to deal with avoidable risks.

Those responsible are liable for significant fines and even imprisonment if illegal fires escape and cause damage.

We are hoping that we can also have a representative who can assist with queries about any funding that may be available to you following the recent bushfires.
