via SchoolBytes, and we're excited to introduce a brand new sport option: Archery Attack!
Think archery meets dodgeball! Students work in teams to complete challenges, eliminate opponents and achieve objectives in a safe, action-packed environment.

Today, all year groups took part in our Term 2 Guided Pathway to Success (GPS) Day, and what an incredible day of learning, growth and connection it was! 🚀📚✨

Today our School Captains attended NSW Parliament to meet with Sonia Hornery, MP Wallsend and visit Government House to meet Her Excellency The Honourable Margaret Beazley. A great opportunity to also meet other School Captains from across the state.

What a fantastic week of football for our GTHS teams! 💙💛
👏 A huge congratulations to our Girls Team who wrapped up an outstanding campaign after progressing all the way to Round 3! While we met a very strong Warners Bay side, the girls showed incredible determination, resilience and defensive grit throughout the match. 💪🛡️
🌟 Special shoutout to Ella for leading from the front and setting the standard for the team! 🌟
🧤 And a massive congratulations to Zainab, who proved that it will be very difficult to take the gloves off her in the years ahead! 👏⚽
🏆 The Zappo Award goes to Matilda M! Well deserved for her effort, attitude and contribution throughout the campaign. Congratulations girls – you should all be incredibly proud of your achievements this year! 💙💛
⚽🔥 Meanwhile, our Boys Team produced another unforgettable comeback victory in their Round 3 clash against St Paul's Booragul!
Despite dominating large periods of the game, the boys found themselves trailing 2-0 at halftime. 😲
The response? Pure determination. 💪
🚀 Brandon H sparked the comeback with a thunderbolt from outside the box to make it 2-1!
🥅 The pressure continued as both Will H and Jai G rattled the woodwork.
⏰ With just 10 minutes remaining, Zlatan beat his defender and delivered a superb ball into the box for Korbin S to smash home the equaliser! 🙌⚽
⚡ Into extra time we went, with both teams reduced to 9 players. The drama wasn't over yet!
🎯 Jai found Korbin in space and with nerves of steel, Korbin calmly slotted home the winner to send GTHS into the REGIONAL FINAL! 🏆🔥🙌

This term, the Emerald Class has been exploring the vocational theme "Paddock to Plate," learning about the journey food takes from being grown to reaching our tables. Students have been busy developing valuable job and life skills through hands-on work in our agricultural plot. From weeding and mulching to planting, watering, and maintaining garden beds, students are taking pride in a wide range of garden maintenance tasks while building responsibility, teamwork, and practical workplace skills.
Their hard work and dedication are helping to lay the foundations for our future Thrive Harvest, where students will have the opportunity to showcase produce, they have grown and gain insight into the processes involved in producing and sharing fresh food. We are excited to watch their skills, confidence, and garden continue to thrive as they bring their paddock-to-plate learning to life!
