HSC Dance Success 🌟

Earlier this term, our talented Year 12 Dance students were incredibly busy working towards the completion of 80% of their HSC Dance course.

After months of dedication, rehearsals and hard work, students proudly showcased their Core Performance, Core Composition and Major Study works at their very own HSC Dance Showcase for family and friends.

They then took the next exciting step, presenting their practical works in front of the HSC Dance examiners as part of their HSC practical examinations.

We are incredibly proud of the commitment, resilience and professionalism our Year 12 Dance students demonstrated throughout this journey. They should be extremely proud of everything they have achieved.
A huge congratulations to our Year 12 Dance class on reaching this significant HSC milestone! 💃✨

Now, with the practical component behind them, our dancers can turn their attention to the final component of their HSC Dance journey – Core Appreciation and the written HSC examination.

Today (3pm -7pm) you can attend the largest local apprenticeship and traineeship expo at Penrith Valley Sports Centre (Cambridge Park). Whether you are at school and looking for a career path, a parent hoping to give your child the best opportunities in life, the expo has all the answers you need. Exhibitors will be looking to collect resumes and promote their organisation for upcoming recruitment drives and sign-up apprentices and trainees on the day. Entry is FREE!

🎉 Congratulations to our Semester 1, 100% Attendance Achievers! 🎉
Recently, we celebrated students who demonstrated outstanding commitment to their learning by maintaining 100% attendance throughout Semester 1. Students were invited to an exclusive morning tea, and we were delighted to welcome parents and carers to join in acknowledging this achievement.
A big thank you to our Attendance Team for their fantastic organisation and to our Hospitality Team for catering the event so beautifully.
We are so proud of each student who achieved this milestone. Your reliability and positive attitude make our school community stronger!

Last week, students from S1 and S2 visited IKEA for an exciting Swedish Expedition, bringing their classroom learning to life!

Students are currently studying the Swedish language in LOTE, and the excursion provided a fantastic opportunity to explore Swedish language and culture in a real-world setting.

Students put their language skills to the test by identifying Swedish words throughout IKEA and learning more about Swedish culture and design.

The excursion also linked perfectly with Food Technology, where students have been learning about Swedish cuisine and even had the opportunity to learn how to make traditional Swedish meatballs.

It was a fun and engaging day that allowed students to make meaningful connections across LOTE, Food Technology and everyday life.

Well done to S1 and S2 for embracing the experience with such enthusiasm! 🇸🇪🥘✨

We’re incredibly proud of the talent, creativity and dedication shown by our Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) students at GPHS! 👏

From designing and making to problem-solving, practical skills and bringing creative ideas to life, our students continue to produce work that showcases their skill, imagination and persistence.
