We are part of the Department Fire & Emergency Services (DFES) and are also supported by our Local Government. Our members assist the community in times of need and our roles include Land Search, Rescue, Flood Events, Earthquakes, Cyclones, Water Bomber Support, Bush Fire Support, Communications Support, Road Crash Rescue and indeed any other emergency related task as requested by DFES. Our primar
y area of responsibility is the Gnowangerup Shire but we can be requested to attend emergencies in other areas outside our Shire if required by DFES. We are tasked with recruiting, training and equipping a volunteers to ensure we can meet the needs of the community and DFES in whatever emergency event requires our response.
