Cycling Without Age - Gold Coast Accredited volunteers, award winning, safe, fun, dementia friendly and without barriers.

A volunteer community group offering an enjoyable activity for seniors and people with disability by providing FREE rides on adaptive bikes in beautiful locations. Cycling Without Age is a not for profit charity which provides a community service by connecting those no longer able to ride for themselves with their community and the outdoors. We give free rides in comfort and safety on trishaw eBik

es and bikes which carry non-motorised wheelchairs, piloted by volunteer cyclists. With value-based guiding principles of generosity, relationships, slowness, story telling and with dignity, all rides are FREE.

Captain Wayne Sticher proudly represented Cycling Without Age Gold Coast at the National Seniors Australia Night of Nights for the announcement of the Everald Compton Community Champion Medal winner.

Huge congratulations to Rosie Fitzgerald, winner of the 2026 Medal, and to all nominees and finalists for their inspiring contributions.

Captain Wayne also had the pleasure of sharing the impact of Cycling Without Age - Gold Coast with Mark Butler MP (Minister for Health and Ageing, Minister for Disability and NDIS), Shayne Neumann MP (Member for Blair), and Rebekha Sharkie MP (Member for Mayo).

Each was presented with a copy of our book Timeless Rides โ€” a collection now headed for their parliamentary libraries โ€” showcasing the dignity, joy and deep sense of connection our rides bring to guests, volunteers and the wider community.
The Minister kindly accepted an invitation to enjoy a ride and witness the impact of Cycling Without Age next time heโ€™s on the Gold Coast.

A special highlight was Everald's speech โ€” inspiring, motivating and full of laughs.

โ›ณ๐Ÿšฒ What a fantastic day at the Gold Coast Fundraising Golf Day!

Today, some of our volunteers joined the Gold Coast Community Fund at RACV Royal Pines Resort as part of this wonderful event supporting local charities.

With perfect weather and plenty of enthusiasm on the course, we had the pleasure of offering trishaw rides between holes for golfers needing a lift. Many generously donated to the Gold Coast Community Fund for the chance to hop aboard and experience a ride for themselves.

As for those who chose not to donateโ€ฆ letโ€™s just say they may or may not have received some light-hearted heckling from our volunteer team as they lined up their shots. ๐Ÿ˜„

It was great to see so many people coming together to enjoy a day of golf while raising funds that will make a real difference in our community.

A huge thank you to the Gold Coast Community Fund for inviting us to be part of such a special event, and to everyone who donated, rode with us, or stopped for a chat throughout the day.
