Trump’s Approval Ratings Are Sky-High—So Why Do Australians Think He’s Universally Hated?

Here’s a challenge for Australian readers: list all the major Aussie news outlets that report positively on Donald Trump.

Your list will likely begin and end with Sky News Australia—which makes up maybe 5% of our media landscape.

That means 95% of the news you consume is conditioning you—whether subtly or overtly—to viscerally recoil at the mere mention of Trump’s name.

This breeds all sorts of faulty assumptions:

❌ Trump is 95% evil.
❌ 95% of what I hear about him must be true.
❌ 95% of Americans secretly hate him too.

But here’s the reality: none of that is true.

Despite the relentless attacks, the American people are standing by Trump in record numbers.

📊 He won every battleground state in November.
📊 He picked up 312 electoral votes—far more than the 270 needed to win.
📊 He became the first Republican to win the popular vote in 20 years.

And since taking office, his approval ratings have remained at historic highs.

Even CNN—one of Trump’s biggest critics—was forced to admit:

🗣️ “The American public is more in line with Trump than at any point during his first term.”

A CBS News poll found that:

✅ 53% of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance.
✅ 70% say Trump is doing exactly what he promised.
✅ 60% support mass deportations of illegal immigrants.
✅ 63% support his recognition of only two sexes, male and female.

Meanwhile, a Napolitan News Service survey found that Trump’s job approval has never fallen below 53% since he was elected—hitting as high as 57% during his inauguration week.

These numbers should be shocking to Australians who have been fed a steady diet of anti-Trump narratives.

Instead of admitting they miscalculated, the press is scrambling to explain Trump’s popularity with tortured headlines like:

📝 “Why Trump remains popular, despite all the chaos” – Vice
📝 “Why Americans continue to fall for Trump's game of distraction” – Salon
📝 “How Trump could sn**ch a third term” – Politico

They can’t explain it. But the data can.

It’s not just approval ratings—other indicators suggest that Trump’s policies are resonating:

📊 Rasmussen Reports: More Americans now believe the U.S. is on the right track (47%) than the wrong one (46%). That’s the first net positive result in 20 years.

📊 Gallup: Nearly half of Democrats (45%) say their party needs to become more moderate—a massive 11-point shift since 2021.

📊 Morning Consult: Trump ranks as one of the most popular world leaders—beating out many Western heads of state.

Confronted with these facts, Australians have two choices:

1️⃣ Double down on the media narrative that Trump is evil.
2️⃣ Think for yourself and question why you’ve been told to hate him.

If the legacy media is right—and Trump is the worst leader in history—then the better part of 350 million Americans must be either evil or brainwashed.

Funny how we in Australia, 16,000 km away, see it clearer than Americans living through:

⚖️ A weaponised justice system
📉 An economy $36T in debt

Here's a more likely scenario: the media has been lying to you.

Remember, this is the same media that...

❌ Pushed the chemical and surgical castration of children as “gender-affirming care.”
❌ Covered up Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
❌ Told you COVID-19 coming from a Wuhan lab was a “conspiracy theory.”
❌ Framed the BLM riots as “mostly peaceful” but January 6 as an “insurrection.”

Are you sure you’re getting the full picture?

Before Trump ran for president, he was a media darling.

📺 He was a TV star.
🎶 He was celebrated in hip-hop culture.
🎥 He was a pop-culture icon.

Then he ran as a Republican—and suddenly he was public enemy number one.

The Australian media, lacking originality, simply parroted the American press.

But if Trump was really as bad as they claim, would they need to work this hard to make you believe it?

Turn off the TV. Cancel the newspaper. Open an X account and see unfiltered news as it happens.

Then, enjoy the experience of being un-brainwashed.
