Glenn TOZER for Mudgeeraba & Hinterland (Division 9)

Glenn TOZER for Mudgeeraba & Hinterland (Division 9) Serving the southwest hinterland (Div9) at the City of Gold Coast council since 2012. Chair of Lifestyle, Environment, Heritage & Resilience (LEHR) committee.

Election material is auth'd by Glenn Tozer, PO Box 625, Mudgeeraba for Glenn Tozer (candidate) Welcome to the new likers to my page. I hope you find the below helpful as you work out the best way to engage on the page. Most of my posts relate to the Gold Coast, and in particular Division 9 which includes the suburbs of Mudgeeraba, Worongary, Tallai, Bonogin, Reedy Creek, Gilston, Lower Beechmont,

Austinville, Advancetown, Neranwood, Springbrook, Numinbah Valley and Natural Bridge. There's about 30,000 voters in our area and around 43,000 residents. It’s not an official Council-run page, but all activity here is governed under relevant Codes of Conduct and Acts of Parliament. Accordingly, you can expect if you raise a Council issue, I may capture that as a public record and process it through the proper channels. Alternatively, I may refer a person to that themselves. I have a no deletion policy, with only a few exceptions (profanity, lewdness, spamming or leveraging the page for private lobbying, threats of legal/regulatory action, allegations of corruption). Even when we disagree you can expect I'll engage. There's a chance we'll get on fine if you argue with respect and good manners. What I'm trying to achieve here is a community of people who can share amongst their own Facebook families, the events and activities of our great city and the little area I look after. I like to share good news stories, topical issues, and keep people informed about what your elected representatives are doing each week and what's going on in our area. A community like this doesn't work without you engaging so get involved, seek out those stories form the groups you're a part of and post here to keep me and the rest of the community updated. If a post, by my assessment, seems to contravene this intent I might warn a Facebook user and depending how they respond I might choose to refer them to other methods to offer their view (such as email, phone or letters). We've got heaps to be proud of in Division 9 and across the Gold Coast and hopefully this page can be one part of promoting our best efforts to the community and to the world. Headed out to Southport for a Friday night event this past week, discussing the challenges and opportunities of the suburb, considered by many to be the city's C*D.

Many thanks to the Southport Chamber of Commerce and Cr Brooke Patterson for their hospitality.

🎩 Hats off to Southport Chamber of Commerce for an excellent event Friday night.

I thank my fellow councillors who joined me ‘In the Hot Seat’ to chat all things Southport.

I was grateful for how strongly Acting Mayor Councillor Mark Hammel spoke in support of my vision for the C*D.

Glenn TOZER for Mudgeeraba & Hinterland (Division 9) spoke powerfully about the vital role of the chamber in forwarding leadership and vision.

Cr Shelley Curtis’s clarity and heartfelt insights into the potential and opportunities for the next generation of Gold Coasters were well received.

Councillor Joe Wilkinson’s community advocacy and passion were clear for all to see.

‘In the Hot Seat’ continued with Angie Bell MP, Leon Rebello MP and Rob Molhoek MP giving a candid Federal and State perspective.

Congratulations to the Chamber for such a unique and effective event.

The board of Southport Chamber are really upping the ante and excelling in their advocacy.

Thank you for what you do. 🙏

In heat like we’ve had lately, lighting fires really needs some assistance and water nearby. Please take care and call your local rural fire brigade for advice.

Crews from Mudgeeraba Rural Fire Brigade worked with Bonogin Valley Rural Fire Brigade at an escaped pile fire yesterday afternoon in Bonogin. It was hot work in the 35c temperatures.

Please be EXTRA careful if you're lighting a fire and never leave it unattended. Keep water like your hose, turned on, nearby.

A lovely day with my boys for Fathers Day.

Super blessed this year with my eldest, John, being selected as Captain at St Andrew’s Lutheran College for 2027, my middle kid, Edward, picking up back to back Athletics Age Champion kudos, and my youngest, Emerson, attributed a Highly Commended in a statewide photography competition.

Arrows in my quiver. So proud.

None of which could have happened without the example of my own dad, Mark, who is my best mate and a wonderful grandfather for our kids.

Hope the dads out there had a great day, or that you remembered your dad fondly.

Great to catch Tiff and the team from Mt Nimmel Hall today at the Austinville Spring Fair.

Picked up a new chopping board from Des, a cupcake pack from the two little bakers return tribute and a funny bag from some entrepreneurial young valley girls.

What a great day!

Today is the Austinville Spring Fair! Get out to the hinterland and check it out!
