Officers recently came together to farewell Senior Sergeant Shelley as he retired from his role as Ipswich District Duty Officer, concluding almost four decades of dedicated service.

In recognition of his exceptional contribution, Senior Sergeant Shelley has become the first officer in Queensland to receive the Queensland Police Service Exemplary Conduct Medal with General Duty Clasp, a significant honour recognising outstanding service, leadership and commitment to duty.

Throughout countless critical incidents, emergency responses and high-risk operations, he was a calm and trusted leader, relied upon for his sound judgement, guidance and support when it mattered most.

Thank you, Senior Sergeant Shelley, for more than 20 years of service and an enduring contribution to the QPS and our community. We wish you all the best for the next chapter ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’™
