CARRATHOOL SHIRE HOUSING STRATEGY
Carrathool Shire Council has engaged Habitat to assist preparing the Carrathool Shire Housing Strategy.
The Carrathool Local Government Area is growing and changing — and your voice matters. This survey forms a vital part of the Strategy’s development, to better understand how housing is provided throughout Hillston, Goolgowi, Merriwagga, Rankins Springs, Carrathool and the rural areas of the shire.
There are evolving community needs throughout Carrathool. With industries linked to agriculture, grain and animal farming, there are growing requirements for health and aged care, the provision of key worker housing, seasonal and itinerant workers. It’s vital that local planning reflects the real experiences of residents and businesses.
Whether you're a long-time local, a renter, homeowner, worker, retiree, or employer, your feedback will help Council and planners make informed decisions about the types of housing land the LGA needs, now and into the future.
