Congratulations to all the Gordonvale Aquatic Center squad who attended this mini carnival at Woree on Saturday.
Everyone did extremely well & we are very proud of how you performed & represented yourselves.

Today is World Drowning Prevention Day 💙

Drowning is preventable and every one of us has a part to play. In Australia, most drownings happen close to home, and the strongest protection we can give our kids (and ourselves) is water confidence and supervision.

Our reminder to every family in Far North Queensland:

🏊 Enrol the kids in swimming lessons it's a life skill, not just a sport!
🏊‍♀️ And don't forget yourself! If you can't swim or feel rusty, adult lessons can make the difference
👀 Supervise actively around water and stay within arm's reach for little ones
🚪 Check your pool fence and gate
🧡 Learn CPR — it saves lives
🌊 Never swim alone

Whether it's your backyard pool, the creek, the beach or one of our centres, water safety starts with all of us. Pop in and chat to our team about lessons, it's never too early, and never too late to learn.

We have a blockage in the pipeworks and hence there no hot water at Gordonvale Pool. We are working hard to resolve this maintainence issue
