I’d like to acknowledge Minister Matt Swinbourn and the Cook Government for genuinely working with the community on this. Bringing wildlife rehabilitators and conservation groups to the table is exactly how good policy is made. Collaboration like this will strengthen WA’s preparedness and help protect our unique wildlife. Well done Matt licking goal after goal.

As an elected official, I feel it’s important to be transparent…

Today I officially lost a battle to a bunch of ducks. 🦆

I set out to move them off the dam for the cows.

Instead, the ducks conducted a highly successful anti-aircraft operation and my drone is now conducting long-term underwater research.

The cows were no help.

They just stood there watching me retrieve my very expensive submarine with what looked suspiciously like judgement. 😂🚁💦🐄

The drone is the red light.

Well… I reckon it’s only fair I admit when I get something wrong.

When the State Government announced they were bringing these international football clubs to Perth, I wasn’t convinced. I questioned whether it was really worth it.

But after seeing the first team arrive last night, watching the fans turn out in force, and getting messages from friends overseas saying how excited they are and that Perth is getting talked about around the world, I’ve changed my mind.

I’m still not much of a soccer bloke, but I can honestly say I’m looking forward to it now. If events like this put Perth and Western Australia on the world stage, bring visitors here and give our local businesses a boost, then I’m all for it.

Credit where it’s due. Well done to the “Cook Government” Sometimes you’ve just got to put your hand up and say, “I got that one wrong.”

😂 Bloopers! Sometimes it’s the moments you don’t plan that make the best memories.

I was filming Jayde taking the saddle off her horse when, out of nowhere, another horse and rider casually wandered through the background and completely stole the scene! 🤣

Safe to say it wasn’t quite the masterpiece I was trying to film… but it definitely gave us a good laugh. Sometimes the bloopers are better than the main event! 🐴😂

Keep an eye on the background… you’ll see exactly what I mean!

Hope it gets a few laughs! 😄

Codi’s second campdraft run at the Katherine Rodeo. 🤠🐎

She put in another great ride and I’m incredibly proud of how she’s progressing. When you think she’s only been riding for around two years, it’s a pretty impressive effort.

From arriving on a remote cattle station with very little experience to working horses every day, mustering cattle, and now competing in a campdraft, it’s been an amazing journey to watch.

Well done, Codi. No matter where you place, you’ve already made us all proud. ❤️

What an incredible few days it’s been visiting Codi in the Northern Territory.

She certainly hasn’t let us sit around! 😄 Jayde and Tari have been thrown straight into station life, helping bring in around 30 horses, sorting them through and selecting the ones heading to the Katherine Rodeo.

Seeing Codi in her element has made me one very proud dad. The confidence, skill and work ethic she’s developed out here are something else. At the Katherine Rodeo, Jayde and Tari stepped up as her strappers, and it was fantastic to see all three girls working together as a team.

It’s not all about the rodeo either. We’ve been feeding cattle, yard work and moving stock and getting a real taste of life on a remote cattle station.

Having all three of my daughters together again has been the best part of the trip. As a dad, it doesn’t get much better than watching your kids working side by side, laughing together and taking on new challenges.

We’ve still got a couple more adventures to come before heading home on Sunday, including a visit to the crocodile park. I’ll be sharing a few more videos and photos of our Northern Territory escapades over the next couple of days, so stay tuned! 🤠🐊🐎❤️

Goodnight from beautiful Darwin. 🌅

A pretty special day today. For the first time ever, all of my daughters are old enough to enjoy a drink at the pub together. It’s one of those milestones that makes you realise just how quickly the years have flown by.

We enjoyed a great meal together, I couldn’t go past the surf and turf! Then we finished the evening watching one of the most spectacular Darwin sunsets I’ve ever seen.

Moments like these are what life’s all about. ❤️
