e Brigade is one of busiest brigades within the Southern Tablelands Zone, with call rates varying annually the brigade still attends just shy of 200 incidents annually. Incident types include but are not limited to: Bush/Grassfires, Structural Fires, Motor Vehicle/ Truck Fires, Motor Vehicle Collisions, as well as assisting other agencies such as Fire and Rescue, NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, NSW SES when required. The bigrade are itself is fairly small, however we often respond throughout the district when required. The Brigade additionally is one of the first within the Southern Tablelands District to become classified as a Village 2 Brigade, meaning that it is one of the few in our District Breathing Apparatus equipped and capable of Offensive (Interior) Structural Firefighting. Comprised solely of Volunteers the brigade provides a 100% volunteer service, with members giving up their own time to serve their community. Our members come from a wide socio-economic background - each bringing their unique skill sets to enhance our team. As well as Incident related activities, brigade members additionally contribute their time, effort and skills to other activities such as, fundraising, community engagement activities, equipment maintenance as well as regular training within the brigade, district and state. The Goulburn Brigade has a strong emphasis on Training and Equipment maintenance as we strongly believe in being prepared for the various dynamic and often complex incidents we attend.

Goulburn Crews along with Goulburn 1A and our Captain as Strike Leader have joined as part of a South Eastern Area Strike Team being deployed to the Southern Border / Victorian region to assist with fires there.

Two South Eastern Area Strike Teams from the Southern Tablelands and Lake George Districts have deployed to support operations on the Southern Border / Victoria. 🚒

➡️ The strike teams will be initially based out of Wodonga and depending on operational needs will be tasked to respond to new fire starts or support on the Walwa or Longwood fire operations. Crews are expected to return home Saturday morning.

➡️ This deployment highlights the strength of interstate collaboration and the importance of standing alongside our fellow firefighters when they need support.

We sincerely thank all members for committing their time, skills, and experience, your willingness to assist is truly valued. Above all, we wish our crews a safe deployment. Take care of yourselves and each other. And thank you for representing our Area Command and Districts so strongly. 👏
