As most people know, I'm relocating to Newcastle. And my parting gift to the Clarence Valley will be organising the Clarence Valley Sports Awards for the 10th and final time.

2022 signals a new direction for Grafton Redmen Rugby Union Club, with a new president Dom Bullock (pictured), new sponsor the Crown Hotel Motel, a switch to Mid North Coast Rugby and a welcome return to 1st Grade!

38 nominees, 22 sports, 13 awards... the countdown is on for the 2021 Clarence Valley Sports Awards - when the cream of the Clarence Valley's sporting crop are recognised for their efforts.

Huge congrats to former Westlawn Cricket Club junior Aidan Cahill, representing Australia at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup!!!

Big congratulations to Aidan Cahill for his selection in the Australia U19 Team currently playing in the World Cup.

For those of you who don’t know Aidan he played for the Westlawn Cricket Club as a Junior from the 2013/2014 season in U12’s to the 2017/2018 season were he was playing U17’s and Premier League. Aidan played in 118 local games and scored 1958 runs taking 93 wickets.

His father Andrew Cahill was also President of the CRJCA before the family moved to Newcastle were Aidan continued with his cricket and 3 seasons later playing for Australia.

Fantastic results and we hope it gives local juniors players the belief that they CAN also live their dreams.
