Over the weekend, the Green Head Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade assisted in responding to the Warradarge bushfire.

We would like to sincerely thank the many crews who have worked tirelessly and who managed to contain and limit its impact. A huge thank you to the local farmers, volunteer brigades, the air wing teams, Illuka and other supporting agencies whose commitment made the difference under unusually challenging conditions.

We also would like to acknowledge the patience and resilience of our community who continue to be affected by the ongoing power and communications outages as a result of the fire events.

Events like this highlight the importance of strong community involvement and how each member of our community plays a pivotal role in keeping our community safe. So if you have ever considered joining the Green Head Brigade, now is a great time to get involved.

The Green Head Fire Brigade have had units attending the ongoing bushfires in Cervantes and also bushfires in Arrowsmith.

We would like to thank Andrew, Jake and Mark for their relentless efforts over the course of this week. The guys have given up their time and commitments to represent the brigade in what are very challenging conditions.

We would also like to thank all of the other brigades and emergency services that have come together from all across our state, and we thank them for their continuous efforts in our region.

Hello Green Head Community,

There will be a pre fire season general meeting held on Thursday, 31st October at 5:30pm at the Fire Shed.

All existing fire brigade members are encouraged to attend. Community members are also welcome.
