Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, a reminder to raise awareness, speak up and take action to protect the rights and dignity of older people in our communities. 🧡

Beyond Age is an intergenerational arts project bringing together Nillumbik’s Positive Ageing Advisory Committee and photography students from Eltham High School.

Through portraits and personal reflections, the exhibition explores ageing; celebrating life experience, resilience and wisdom while challenging stereotypes.

📈 On-the-ground support for business owners
📈 The latest information on artificial intelligence, branding, cash flow, digital marketing, business resilience and economic outlooks
📈 Sessions with inspiring speakers including Matt Jones, co-founder of Four Pillars Gin and David Robertson, Bendigo Bank Chief Economist
📈 Direct access to support organisations including Business Victoria and the Victorian Small Business Commission
📈 A celebration of local makers, growers and producers with the Produced in Nillumbik showcase

Thank you to everyone who attended, presented and supported the series.

Barking dog in your neighbourhood? The good news is, many barking issues can be resolved quickly and amicably. Sometimes the owner isn’t even aware of the problem.

Our new kit is here to help with:
🐾 tips to reduce excessive barking
🐾 a letter template to let a neighbour know about their dog’s barking
🐾 a step-by-step guide to follow if excessive barking continues.

Find out more: nillumbik.vic.gov.au/barking-dogs

While some barking is normal, dog owners must ensure their dog’s barking isn’t a nuisance. To be considered a nuisance, barking must be persistent over a period of time and unreasonably interfere with a person’s normal activities.
