National Sorry Day – Learning with Respect 🖤💛❤️

Today our early childhood learning space was thoughtfully transformed to acknowledge National Sorry Day, a time to reflect, listen, and learn together. Through storytelling, symbolic art, and hands on experiences.
The children were gently introduced to the importance of respect, healing, connection, and understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures.

✨ Key learning experiences included:
• Developing empathy and understanding through conversations about kindness, respect, and saying sorry
• Exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander symbols, colours, stories, and cultural connections
• Encouraging a sense of belonging, inclusion, and caring for one another within our community

We honour the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations and remain committed to creating inclusive spaces where kindness, empathy, and belonging are nurtured from an early age. 🖤💛❤️

🌼🐝 World Bee Day at Our Centre 🐝🌼

This week our whole centre has been buzzing with excitement as we celebrated World Bee Day! 🌸✨

Across all rooms the children engaged in fun, hands on learning experiences exploring the incredible role bees play in our environment and everyday lives. From creative arts and crafts to sensory play, stories, songs, and nature based learning, the children discovered how bees help flowers bloom, support our food sources, and keep our ecosystems thriving. 🌻🍯

Our learning experiences encouraged curiosity, teamwork, creativity and a deeper appreciation for the natural world around us. Together, we explored ways we can care for bees and help protect our environment for the future. 💛🐝

This week at our centre, we are learning all about Road Safety Week 🚦🚸

Through stories, discussions, role play, and outdoor experiences, children are building their understanding of how to stay safe around roads, cars, bikes, and pedestrians. Learning about road safety from a young age helps children develop awareness, confidence, and safe habits for everyday life.

⭐ Key Learning Takeaways:
• Learning to stop, look, listen, and think before crossing the road.
• Understanding the importance of wearing helmets and seatbelts safely.
• Recognising road signs, traffic lights, and safe pedestrian behaviours.
We love supporting children to become safe, confident, and aware members of our community! 💛
