πŸ”₯ Welcome to the Official page of the Gresford Rural Fire Brigade! πŸ”₯

Founded in 1958, the Gresford Rural Fire Brigade has a rich history of dedication and service to the local community. Since its formation, the Gresford Rural Fire Brigade has had only 11 Captains, each one leaving their mark on the brigade’s growth and legacy. This speaks to the enduring strength and continuity of the b

rigade, where leadership and dedication have always been passed down to ensure the station remains a steady presence in times of need. Meetings & Membership:

If you’re planning a pile burn over the coming days, it’s worth taking a little extra care.

We’ve seen a number of pile burns escape across the state recently, including a few closer to home. This often happens when conditions change quickly or piles become too large to manage safely.

When planning a pile burn, a few things to keep in mind:
πŸ”₯ Keep piles small and manageable (low and wide, not high)
πŸ”₯ Only burn dry, natural vegetation, not household materials
πŸ”₯ Choose calm conditions and keep an eye on the weather
πŸ”₯ Have water, tools and equipment ready before you light up
πŸ”₯ Stay with your fire at all times and fully extinguish it when finished

And importantly
πŸ“ž Notify your neighbours and the RFS at least 24 hours before you burn
