Today, our Student Focus Group came together to begin the exciting process of designing our new school house emblems.

With robust discussion, creative thinking and plenty of student voice, our students explored ideas that will help bring the identity of our four houses to life.

This is leadership in action — students shaping the future of our school community and leaving their mark on something that will be proudly represented for years to come.

Yesterday, our 2027 candidates for Captain took to the stage to deliver their speeches to the Holroyd High School community.

All 10 candidates did an exceptional job, showcasing confidence, leadership and a genuine commitment to making a difference at Holroyd.

Congratulations to all 10 nominees on an outstanding effort. We look forward to seeing where their leadership journey takes them.

High Potential and Gifted students completed the ICAS Mathematics Competition last week.

The ICAS competition is an internationally recognised academic challenge that gives our students the opportunity to test their skills, stretch their thinking and be recognised for their achievements beyond the boundaries of everyday schoolwork.

Ms Meilak — From Student to Staff!

“I loved attending Holroyd High School (1987–1992) because it gave me so many wonderful opportunities to learn, grow and discover what I was passionate about. One of the areas that really stood out to me was Visual Arts. I loved being creative, experimenting with different materials and techniques, and having the opportunity to express my ideas through art.

The Visual Arts program encouraged me to be imaginative and confident in my own ideas. It gave me the opportunity to explore different artists, develop my skills and appreciate art in a whole new way. These experiences stayed with me and helped shape my passion for Visual Arts, which eventually led me to become a Visual Arts teacher myself.

I have many happy memories of my high school years, and I am grateful for the teachers and opportunities that helped me become the person I am today.

These experiences have stayed with me throughout my career, and I have tried to bring those same opportunities to my students at Holroyd High School. I want my students to experience the same sense of achievement, creativity and confidence that I felt when I was at school.”
