International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women worldwide, and especially those amazing women in our brigade.

” is the official theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026, calling attention to the urgent global need for fair, inclusive, and accessible justice for all women and girls. Globally, one in three women will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, yet most will never seek formal support or access justice. Despite meaningful progress over recent decades, significant barriers remain.
The campaign also reinforces and recognises the power of positive change when individuals, organisations, and communities give their support, opportunities for women grow.
When women thrive, our teams, organisations, and communities become stronger.
To the women in our organisation and particularly our brigade and district: thank you for the diverse perspectives you bring to our space every day. We each have a role in accelerating action, by challenging bias, backing inclusive leadership, and ensuring respect is non‑negotiable.
