MCC Community Action Team

MCC Community Action Team The Community Action Group at MCC aims to address social justice issues, promote equality and support opportunities for encouraging access to all.

Nearly 50 MCC students have recently volunteered to become part of the school’s “Community Action
Team”. Students ranging from yr 7 to yr 12 under the guidance of Pastoral Care Worker Sue Hone;
will look at providing holistic support and assistance to help those in our community who are less
fortunate or currently experiencing personal hardship. The group will be guided by the values and beliefs o

f St Vincent de Pauls Youth Conference and will
aim to address social justice issues, promote equality and support opportunities for encouraging
access to all. MCC has a positive reputation for volunteering within the community and the group would like to
continue to develop networks and identify further opportunities to provide assistance where possible. Students already assist with RDA, and cooking for CAREVAN and next term will see the resuming of
the blood donor program and volunteering for “Meals on Wheels”
