A strong community turnout at the Merrylands dawn service this morning. Itโ€™s a meaningful reminder to honour our ANZACs and all who have given their lives in service, enabling us to live in one of the safest and most fortunate countries in the world.
Thank you to our SES volunteers who worked throughout the morning to ensure safe passage for our marchers and everyone attending the service.

2026 SES COMMUNITY EVENT PLANNING.

Can you believe that we are nearing the end of the year already?

If you are planning a large 2026 community event in our local area and would like the SES to have a stand then please drop us a message with the date, an explanation of the event, and some contact details.

Itโ€™s always great for us to be amongst the community and help educate our neighbours on what we do, and how they can prepare their homes for storms.

We look forward to seeing you all.

WOW - WHAT A WEEKEND!!! The Holroyd Unit had a team represent them at Navshield Jenolan Caves this weekend. This is an event where emergency service teams from multiple disciplines come and partake in a map navigational exercise where they can hone in on their critical navigational skills in harsh and extreme environments, a preparation exercise for land search and rescues. -2 to 7 degrees, 100km2 of bush, freezing weather with rain, grapple , and snow. Bush bashing 25km in 8.5 hrs with little more than a map, compass, and back pack. Such a sense of accomplishment . Join our unit and come along with us next year
