Many Gympie residents don’t even know of its existence but it is sought out by parents looking for a small school with a big heart for their children to attend. Gympie East State School aims for academic excellence in a supportive and warm social climate. An environmentally sustainable ethos is integrated

Next week (Week 9), Gympie East will be having a Handball Free Week.

We love the enthusiasm, teamwork and fun that handball brings to our playgrounds, but sometimes it's good to mix things up and enjoy the many other games, activities and opportunities that school has to offer.

We encourage students to use the week to try something new, reconnect with old favourites and make the most of all the great things happening around our school. We can't wait to see what everyone gets up to!

Our Gardening Groups enjoyed a wonderful session yesterday learning all about pollination with Mr Coombs and Miss Maria. Students discovered how pollinators help plants grow and produce fruit, making the connection between nature and the food we eat.

To top it all off, students were able to enjoy a tasting of delicious oranges picked straight from our very own school orange trees.

A big thank you to Mr Coombs and Miss Maria for another engaging and hands-on gardening session. We can't wait to see what our young gardeners learn and grow next!
