From superheroes and storybook favourites to magical characters and everything in between, our Book Week Parade was filled with creativity, laughter and plenty of school spirit!

Alex is well on his career pathway, having commenced a Certificate III Engineering Fabrication School Based Apprenticeship with Gympie Welding Works.

Through his work experience with Gympie Welding Works earlier this year, Alex demonstrated his enthusiasm, interest and commitment to the industry, which ultimately led to this opportunity.

Itโ€™s great to see his work experience turning into a real career pathway while heโ€™s still at school.

Ace has had his sights set on becoming an electrician since starting at Gympie Trade Training in Year 11 and what a way to finish Year 12!

Ace has now commenced a Certificate III Electrotechnology School Based Apprenticeship with McClurgโ€™s Electrical, putting him on the pathway to the career he has been working towards.

A kind word to someone sitting alone. Sticking up for someone when it would be easier to stay quiet. Checking in on a friend who's gone quiet themselves. Asking for help if you need it.

All of these things require courage from you, and this courage in action can change what happens next.

Kindness was the driving force behind James Nashโ€™s Bullying No Way Week awareness campaign. Throughout the week, students participated in a range of activities promoting kindness and standing up against bullying, culminating in celebrations in the quad featuring a photo booth, chalk walk, music, giveaways and more!

The kind spirit of Nash was splashed across the quad through anti-bullying displays and messages of kindness. Many students also took the opportunity to send postcards to people in their lives they are grateful for, while friends came together to take a stand against bullying.

Great effort, Nash โ€“ keep the message of kindness and respect ringing true!
