𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆

Congratulations to the James Nash students who recently represented Wide Bay in the 16-19 Years Boys Hockey Team at the Schoolboys Championships.

The team progressed all the way to the grand final, where they faced Darling Downs in a tightly contested match. With the scores tied 2-2 at full time, the game was decided in a shootout, with Wide Bay finishing as runners-up.

To reach the grand final is a huge achievement and reflects the hard work and dedication shown by the team throughout the competition. Congratulations to these students on their representation of both Wide Bay and James Nash State High School!

𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲

On Wednesday 27th of May, the Open Boys Veto Futsal team headed down to Nissan Arena to play in the League One Shield Finals. The boys managed to win all their games (4 from 4) and bring home the silverware!!

𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲

Many families in our school community are feeling the pressure of rising living costs, and as we head into the cooler months, some are finding it difficult to keep food on the table each week.

Our Wellbeing Team is putting together food parcels to support students and families who may need a little extra help this winter. We would greatly appreciate any donation of non-perishable pantry items, with every contribution, big or small, helping make a difference.

Donations will be collected during Weeks 7 and 8, with a collection box located in Jacki’s office in E Block.
