Celebrating 159 years since James Nash's discovery of gold right here in Gympie on 16th October 1867.

Join us at 3.30pm on Saturday for the 2026 Gympie Gold Rush Festival Community Parade - Proudly Sponsored by Watson's Marine, with over 800 participants ... it's gonna be huge!

Then at 5.30pm enjoy the 2026 Gympie Gold Rush Festival - Bendigo Community Bank Gympie - FREE Community Concert (gates open at 4.00pm).

• 9:00am until Sold Out: Goomeri State School P&C Bake Stall - The Goomeri State School P&C team are back and will be here selling all your perfect reading snacks and treats! Don’t miss this great opportunity to support your local school community.

• 9:30am to 10:00am: Celebrate Love Your Bookshop Day by joining us for Wimberley & Co Storytime. Spoil yourself to a coffee while the kids are introduced to the magical world of reading.

• 9:00am to 12:00pm: Make Your Own Bookmark – Kids, come and enjoy the magic of the children’s room! Get crafty in a room of wonder and create your own bookmark to take home. There's a variety of bookmarks to create! Will you colour, bead or complete some scratch art?

• 9:00am to 12:00pm: Make Your Own Beaded Pen – Kids, the craft activities continue behind the white arch, make a pen to take home whilst browsing the shelves for your next book.

• Lucky Door Prizes – We will be running multiple lucky door prizes throughout the morning! You just have to be at the bookstore to win!

• Coffee Treasure Hunt – Join in on the Coffee Voucher Treasure Hunt! If you search the bookshelves, you might just find a voucher for a free delicious Wimberley coffee!

• Find Wally Hunt – Kids, can you become a bookstore detective and help us locate Wally who will be hiding in the bookstore?
