🌟 WE DID IT! 🌟

What an incredible weekend for our little rural school! 💛

Our students absolutely shone on the big stage, performing as part of a mass choir of over 1,200 students. To see our kids from Halls Gap up there, filled with confidence and pride, was truly something special. 🥹

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff and families for making this amazing opportunity possible. 🙏

🌿 On Friday, Halls Gap Primary School spent a beautiful afternoon at WAMA – always such a highlight for our students!

We enjoyed lunch together in the sunshine before exploring the beautiful native garden. Students then viewed the amazing art exhibition and completed a special activity in the gallery, giving them the opportunity to really look closely at and engage with the artworks on display.

To finish the afternoon, students got creative themselves, making collages and charcoal drawings inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Our students are always so excited when a WAMA visit is coming up, and we feel incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful place and connection right on our doorstep.

A huge thank you to Nicole for always making our visits so special and for planning such engaging and creative activities for our students. We absolutely love our connection with WAMA and are already looking forward to the next one! 💚🎨

Thank you, thank you to Josephina and the crew at Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park for again hosting the students of Halls Gap Primary School!!! It was an incredible day for a swim in the wood heated pool followed by S’mores and hot chocolate!!!
Thanks also to our own resident lifeguard Ange who is always there to support us to participate in such a fabulous event.
And yes! We did walk the entire way without complaining 😆🎉

How lucky are the kids at Halls Gap Primary School???
Today we got to celebrate Christmas in July at Raccolto Pizzeria with Amy and her team!
Not only did we get to make our own pizzas, Santa and his elves stopped in for a visit and then we got to toast marshmallows!!
Thank you so much Amy we had the very best day 🎄🎅⭐️🎄

🚶‍♂️A Safe Start to the School Day in Halls Gap 👟🚸

Senior Constable Brown and First Constable Mitchell had a great time joining students and staff from Halls Gap Primary School for this year’s Walk Safely to School Day.

The group enjoyed a relaxed walk together, finishing with a delicious breakfast at the school.

A timely reminder for all motorists - when driving near schools, please observe school zone speed limits, stay alert for children, and drive safely.

What a wonderful afternoon we had visiting WAMA Foundation! ☀️🍄

Our visit began with a beautiful picnic lunch on the verandah, soaking up the sunshine while taking in the stunning gardens and surrounds. It was the perfect way to start an afternoon full of learning, curiosity and connection.

Students then rotated through a range of incredible activities organised by the extremely talented and knowledgeable Education Officer, Nicole.
Activities included:
-A guided walk through the gardens where students spotted special plant species and learnt about the importance of the gardens and conservation.
-An AMAZING gallery tour led by Nicole, where students discovered fascinating facts all about fungi. Students were so engaged, with many exclaiming that their “brains exploded” and that they couldn’t wait to share all of their new knowledge with their families!
-A fungi art colouring activity in the multipurpose room, where students were inspired to continue observing and learning about the colours and shading techniques found in fungi.

We are so grateful to WAMA Foundation for allowing us the opportunity to form this wonderful connection and partnership. A huge thank you to Nicole for sharing her passion, enthusiasm and incredible knowledge with both our students and staff.

All staff and students at HGPS were absolutely amazed by the enthusiasm Nicole brought to every activity and conversation, and how lucky we are to have such an incredible learning opportunity right down the road from us.

We are so excited to continue this connection and provide our students with more opportunities to learn from the amazing experiences WAMA shares with us.
