Very special and long overdue catch up with my mate Pete and his wife Jackie today for a belated Christmas lunch.
Pete was one of my first clients when I went independent with my business and at first all the support he needed was companionship and talking footy (even if we didnβt agree π) but had no idea the impact this bloke would have on my life.
Pete has been battling severe illness in every shape and form for almost 30 years (quite literally as long as I have been alive) he has beaten cancer twice, lost count of surgeries and emergency ambulance rides, and not long has just had a large hernia removed.
This man is resilience personified and puts an incredible perspective on life. So grateful to have worked with this man and even more so to continue a friendship with him since moving interstate. Pete still manages to text and/or call me at the end of every NRL round throughout the year to remind me how bad the Titans are and just how good the Storm are. π₯²
Love my job and the people it has allowed me to meet in the last 9+ years, looking forward to many more great memories.
