Planned Hazard Reduction – Update πŸ”₯

Tomorrow’s Little Islands hazard reduction has been postponed after today’s risk assessment, review of weather and local fire danger.

We’re aiming to complete the hazard reduction on Monday the 13th of October in the morning, when cooler, more favourable conditions are expected throughout the day.

What to expect on Monday:

βœ… Smoke in nearby areas during the morning and into the day
βœ… Firefighters, appliances and aircraft working in the area
βœ… Operations will pause or adjust if conditions change

How you can help:

⏺ If you’re smoke-sensitive, keep doors/windows closed and bring pets inside
⏺ Drive to the conditions
⏺ Report unattended fires to 000

With warm and windy conditions forecasted tomorrow, there’s a heightened risk of fire. Be alert for fires in your area.
