Gone home.
We send our deepest condolences following the sad news that Judith (Judy) Barr has passed away on Thursday.
As a Venturer Leader, Judy helped many youth members along the way. Judy and her family have a long connection with 1st Hazelbrook Scouts, and we send our love to her family at this sad time.

On Monday 1st May the Science Team visited the scout group and provided some great activities for all sections.
Joeys started at 5:15pm and did the 'Glow Germs' Hand Washing activity till 5:45 and then made slime till 6:15pm.
The Cubs came in at 6:00pm and did the 'Glow Germs' Hand Washing activity then learned about friction as part of the Hover activity being joined by the scouts at 7:00pm who joined in the 'Hover' activity.

1st Hazelbrook Scout Group Centenary! An amazing celebration today, with so many very welcome attendees. Fine weather allowed us to hoist the flag on the new flagpole, and showcase the upgrade to the hall and fencing.
The return of many past youth members and leaders was wonderful, and brought back the rich history of 100 years, including the display of items from a 40 year old time capsule.
A huge thank you to all involved.

A handful of 1st Hazelbrook Scouts joined in the fun at State Rally. Thanks to Scout Leader Boots for her assistance on the weekend!

A huge thank you to Bunnings Valley Heights, Bunnings Katoomba and Taubmans. The Bunnings teams have been busy painting the inside and outside of the scout hall. A special shout out to C.J. and Sonya. The kitchen looks amazing! We will be looking very fancy for our centenary in October! B..R..A..V..O..O..O...BRAVO!

Scouting takes you places!

Scouts NSW KISC 2023/2024 Winter Trip ❄️

Scouts NSW is organising a trip to Kandersteg International Scout Centre in December 2023. This is different to the KISC 100 Australian Contingent which is going in July of 2023.

The program will make the most of the Snow-capped mountains and international friendships, as well as closing out the KISC 100 Centenary. During this time away we will be in the heart of the Swiss Alps for 12 days and there will be 10 days of programmed activities and 2 Free Days for you to explore the Village of Kandersteg.
